No Excuses Entertainment

In the spirit of entrepreneurialism, Denver's Thurlow Weed is pioneering a whole new brand of entertainment. Thurlow is the host of Wake N Bake on iBakeTV https://noexcusesentertainment.com/Wake_N_Bake_w__Thurlow.html

Thurlow Weed has been entertaining audiences for more than ten years. Taking advantage of internet radio and TV opportunities, Thurlow founded M2J Media Group and launched the Medicated Chef Show. https://noexcusesentertainment.com/Medicated_Chef.html

Viewers interested in learning how to make meals medicated with cannabis can tune in for cooking techniques and other tasty tidbits. Right now, the show is searching for the next Honorary Medicated Chef and ponying up $5,000 in cash prizes.  The object of the contest is to find talent which can teach viewers about the benefits of cannabis and entertain them as the same time. Entries are being accepted in the forms of submitted videos, so get rolling! All entries must be submitted by midnight on December 31, 2012.

I had the opportunity to be on Thurlow's radio show which he does weekday mornings from 8 to 11am. Check out our conversation at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/27817127

Dara on Radio

One of the most fabulous things about modern technology is that it enables everyone the opportunity to voice their opinions, network with others and share their hopes and dreams. Radio stations are no longer limited to an elite group of people who can afford expensive equipment and have the wherewithal to deal with the FCC. Internet radio stations are popping up all over the place, including one headed up by Dara Blaker near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida www.daraonradio.com

Dara has been hosting Dara on Radio for almost three years. Her radio show has featured a number of high profile guests including Bond Girl and Charlie's Angel's actress Tanya Roberts and Hollywood Reporter Kristyn Burtt. Dara herself is no stranger to big time projects: she has performed lip sync ADR (Automatic Dialogue Replacement) for a Latino show on HBO show called Capadocia for the last two seasons. Dara does a wide range of character voices. Check out Dara's demo reel: http://daraonradio.com/wordpress/?page_id=1175

In addition to her work as a voice-over artist, radio host and narrator, Dara also owns a music eduction company called Colour Me Music www.colourmemusic.com This program aims to make music an integral part of eduction while making it fun for children. Dara is also creating a new animated series and is looking for parties interested in joining her efforts. To find out more, connect with Dara on through her website at www.daraonradio.com That's also where you'll find the interview Dara did with me regarding the release of Yikes! Another Quirky Audio Book.

It's hard to imagine how a mother and wife can pull all of this off, but Dara manages to do so with professional flair. Best of luck to Dara as she launches her new venture in animation!

Calling All Indie Artists

Are you an independent artist, musician, actor or writer? If so, you'll find a great place to network with others in your industry on Indies in Motion – Internet Radio Featuring Independent Rising Stars www.indiesinmotion.com
Indies in Motion is hosted by Rick Mizuno who is a musician and motivational speaker. Rick's easy going style makes both the artist and the listener feel relaxed and welcome. In addition to interviewing
writers, actors, dancers and those involved in the film industry, Indies in Motion also features great music from indie bands.
In addition to his busy music show, Rick Mizuno has written two books: 50/50 Split and From the Heart of a Man. Rick also has an inspirational audio CD called Promises Kept.
I had the opportunity to appear on Indies in Motion on Monday, December 4. This was my maiden voyage into the world of Skype and I must say I have a lot to learn! Fortunately, Rick Mizuno was a gracious and patient host. To hear the interview, please visit http://www.indiesinmotion.com/Guest-Music-Links.html
